Hillhaven Hollow was created as a place where people can slow down, feel heard, and find meaningful support through life's difficult seasons.
Founded by Miranda Velasquez, LMFT, Hillhaven Hollow is a service-disabled, woman veteran-led practice that brings together clinical expertise, Christian faith, and experiential approaches to help individuals, couples, and families move toward greater connection, healing, and growth.

Meet Miranda Velasquez
Miranda Velasquez, LMFT, brings together clinical expertise, Christian faith, and specialized training to provide a compassionate, grounded approach to therapy. Her own faith is rooted in the Messianic tradition, with a deep appreciation for the Jewish roots of Christianity and faith in Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah.
As an Army veteran, ordained minister, and licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Miranda understands that healing involves the whole person. She welcomes Christians, Messianic believers, and clients from a variety of backgrounds, with faith incorporated into therapy as much or as little as each client desires. Her work is rooted in connection, hope, and creating a safe space where clients can be honest about where they are and where they want to go.

Experience That Shapes the Work
Miranda's approach to counseling has been shaped by more than professional training. As an Army veteran, wife, mother, and someone who has walked through difficult seasons of her own, she brings both clinical knowledge and lived experience into the therapy room.
Her journey has included grief, chronic illness, divorce, blended family life, disability, and motherhood later in life. Those experiences have deepened her understanding that healing rarely follows a straight path, and people often need a place where they can be honest about both the struggle and the hope.
Miranda also brings a strong Christian faith to her work. As an ordained minister, she offers clients who desire it the opportunity to integrate faith into counseling in a way that is meaningful, respectful, and grounded in sound therapeutic practice.

Travis Bos brings a strong foundation in Christian counseling and a passion for helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges with greater understanding, resilience, and hope.
He holds Master's and Doctor of Divinity degrees in Christian Counseling and is completing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University as he works toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
Travis's counseling approach integrates Family Systems Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Techniques within a Biblical framework, creating space to explore both emotional and spiritual well-being with compassion and respect.
