About Travis Bos, DDiv - Counseling Intern
Counseling Intern | Christ-Centered Therapist | Dedicated to Faith-Based Healing
Travis is excited to serve at Hillhaven Hollow as a counselor-in-training, bringing a strong passion for Christ-centered therapy and a dedication to supporting individuals and families through both faith-based and evidence-based approaches.
Originally from Montana, he now calls Universal City, Northeast San Antonio, home, where he lives with his spouse and three children—one in college and two in high school. Travis loves Texas culture (especially tacos and BBQ!) and enjoys chess, reading, writing, snowboarding, camping, fishing, golfing, skateboarding, and exploring theology.
He holds Master’s and Doctor of Divinity degrees in Christian Counseling and is completing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University as he works toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. His academic work reflects a deep commitment to integrating faith and psychology:
-
Family Systems Theory and the Bible — explores family dynamics through scriptural principles (Amazon link)
-
The Theology of Brokenness — examines the healing power of vulnerability through a theological lens (Amazon link)
Travis’s counseling approach blends Family Systems Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Techniques within a Biblical framework to promote healing and resilience. His practice is rooted in compassion, faith, and the belief that emotional and spiritual health are deeply connected.
As an active member of Calvary Chapel San Antonio, Travis is dedicated to serving others with empathy and integrity. He looks forward to walking alongside clients on their journey toward peace, wholeness, and renewal.
